Milan, 26/03/2024 - MAPIC Italy, the most important business platform dedicated to players in the commercial and retail real estate market in Italy, returns to Super Studio Maxi in Milan on 22 and 23 May. More than 2,000 delegates are expected, including over 700 retailers, restaurant chains and leisure operators.
The theme of the eighth edition of the event organised by RX France will be 'Growing in a changing world: the new retail market equation'.
In a rapidly changing world, the retail industry and the property market are facing a profound transformation, driven by changing consumer expectations and behaviour, climate change concerns and the advent of artificial intelligence. The traditional retail equation is evolving as new success factors emerge that reshape the way companies operate and interact with customers.
"In this edition of MAPIC Italy, we will explore the key factors that are transforming the sector and becoming the new variables to be considered for sound business development: omnichannel and new consumer behaviour, the importance attributed to 'experiential' retail, the impact of artificial intelligence on traditional operating models and, last but not least, the growing importance of the social and environmental impact of retail, a factor that has now become unavoidable in determining the behaviour of all market players. - comments Francesco Pupillo, Show Director MAPIC and MAPIC Italy - We will address these issues by trying to provide industry players with the necessary elements to find solutions to the new equation proposed by the retail market and open the door to a new period of growth".
Also looking to the near future is the vision on retail and retail real estate of Roberto Zoia, President CNCC and Director of Asset, Development and Network Management at IGD SIIQ SPA:
"The retail sector is increasingly called upon to evolve in order to remain attractive: this means, first of all, going beyond the logic of the simple commercial transaction, which is now insufficient even in the short term. Instead, strategies are needed to change sales structures, making them connected with the territory, sustainable from an environmental and social point of view, with an offer capable of involving brands that invest in innovative experiences and interaction, in which artificial intelligence can also play an important role. In the 2024 edition of Mapic Italy we will discuss all these issues, which are also crucial for the world of shopping centres, identifying new trends and opportunities to be seized for development in the coming years".
